Whole Roasted Trout

Trout is considered a healthy, delicious dish and is very suitable for a diet and a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, we always recommend the trout dish because it is very ideal for citrus and herbs. It is best to roast it to give us delicious aromas, by wrapping it in aluminum foil to trap all those delicious juices.

Ingredients 

  1.   1 pound whole trout, cleaned 
  2.   2Lemons 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil Salt and ground black 
  3.   pepper Fresh green thyme,
  4.   thinly sliced ​​leeks 4 tablespoons 
  5.   butter, sliced


  Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. 
  2. Line a baking tray with two layers of aluminum foil, with a bottom plate and a top layer. Cut one of the lemons in half to squeeze the juice, cut the other lemon into slices. 
  3. Dry the trout with paper towels.
  4. then season them with lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and ground black pepper from the inside.  
  5. Outside of the salmon, then we put fresh green thyme, butter slices, part of the lemon slices, and leek slices on top of it. 
  6. After that, we close the first layer of aluminum foil and put part of the lemon slices and part of the leek slices. 
  7. We put the juice of the remaining half lemon in the bottom of the tray with the fresh thyme and leek.
  8. then that.  Close the top layer of aluminum foil for the baking tray. 
  9. Bake for 12 to 16 minutes until it becomes soft and crisp.
  10.  Then transfer it to a serving dish. 
  11. Take the cooking juice and pour it over it, then sprinkle the cooked shallots over it.


  Important note

This trout recipe serves two people, as it weighs one pound and you can only cook one fish per person, although the fish is steamed with this recipe, the skin will not be crispy.  This doesn't mean we can't eat it, but it may not be as delicious as grilled fish skin
